A sensational deck was on the eastern side that caught the morning sun for brekky very nicely. The apartment we were allocated was spacious and modern with a great outlook over the bush and ponds on the property. These apartments are set well off the highway in a leafy setting. After a frantic web search I came up with Lilypond Apartments at Korora and wasn't disappointed. We had a family stay (7 of us) at Coffs Harbour for a weekend and had a little difficulty finding Motel accomodation that would put us all together. We have no hesitation in recommending this accomodation to families or couples as it is clean, private and self contained. We have a nice home ourselves and we always begrudge paying inflated summer prices to have less than we leave at home, but Lilyponds was just perfect. The managing couple were relaxed and welcoming and immediately replaced a leaking kettle, our only problem. The barbecue was ideal on the verandah and we used it most nights. The modern shopping centre just 5 mins the other way into Coffs Harbour had us buying fresh ingredients for dinner daily. We found the 12 minute drive to Emerald Beach, uncrowded and Surf Lifesaver patrolled, very easy indeed. We loved the outlook over the ponds and our son had a ball feeding the water fowl, playing with frogs and watching the water dragons. The airconditioning made coming home from the beach a treat and we were able to sleep no matter the outside temp.

There is no real shallow end for young children who don't swim, but it was perfect for our 12 year old. It felt just as nice as home and the pool area was great, allbeit smaller than the photos make it seem.

We were very happy with the full kitchen and laundry as we were self catering to save money. “It’s a family home and it should be loved and cherished by a beautiful family that deserves it.We stayed a week in January and found the place ticked all our boxes.

“Lily Pond is probably the most beautiful perfect house on this planet, and that is the truth,” she told the Times. The couple plan to live in the home until it is sold after that, they will split their time among three different homes: her apartment in New York City, the governor’s mansion in Albany, and the Hamptons. “This house smells like cookies and feels like heaven,” she told People. According to the Semi-Homemade creator, perhaps the most important thing to note about the home is that it is a reflection of the family that she and Cuomo raised in the house. The house still retains its original brick floors, doorknobs, and “bulky, beautiful” hardware with plenty of “places to plop” throughout the home. Other rooms of note include Lee’s office, where she’s filled the built-in bookshelves with dozens of antique books and gold-framed family photos all printed in a sepia tone “to match the frames,” she told People during the home tour. An antique wooden refrigerator and 19th-century ballot box sit at the far end of the room. One of the best-known rooms in the home is the “Founding Fathers dining room,” which is decorated with framed copies of handwritten letters by George Washington, James Madison, Abraham Lincoln, and others lined up along one wall. She’s updated and renovated the home in the more than a decade since she first purchased it, so much of the home’s aesthetics reflect her love for clean white lines and gold detailing. “It’s very cozy in here, even though there are a lot of references to history and politics and sort of a gravitas,” Lee told People magazine earlier this year. Nicknamed “Lily Pond” for the body of water in the front yard, the spacious abode was originally built in the 1940s and spans 4,129 square feet, with six bedrooms and six bathrooms.

Lee explained that while the pair remain together, they simply "don't need the house" now that Cuomo's daughters are adults. Lee shared their plans to do so with The New York Times earlier this month, in response to a Page Six article claiming that the couple were thinking of selling because they were headed for a breakup. The couple have officially listed their Westchester County, New York, home for $2 million. Andrew Cuomo and his longtime partner, Sandra Lee, are downsizing.
